Our Mission The Office of Research in the UNLV School of Dental Medicine is dedicated to promote scientific discovery essential to the goals of the School as they relate to education, scholarly activity, and professional development. LATEST and GREATEST RESEARCH INFORMATION... Congratulations to the following students representing UNLV School of Dental Medicine at the conferences listed below. ADA Dentsply Student Clinician Research Conference - Samuel Oh ADA Foundation Paffenbarger Research Center - Javid Osafi Hinman Student Research Symposium - Juan Fabrega Dr. Karl Kingsley was presented with the Outstanding Mentor award for 2013 at the Graduate Professional Student Association (GPSA) Research Symposium. His recognition is well deserved as the three students listed above were mentored by Dr. Kingsley. Sabina Dragan won the GPSA Science and Engineering Award. Dr. Christina Demopoulos was also recognized for her outreach efforts in the February 2013 issue of Las Vegas Woman's Issue. She was awarded the 2013 Silver ACE Award Achieving Chronic Disease Prevention Excellence, Outstanding Surveillance/ Data for Seal Nevada South.
